Reincarnation | Past Lives Revisited came into being almost as a happy accident. While looking for a podcast on reincarnation and not being able to find one, Marilyn decided on a whim to start her own, focusing largely on the stories of children with past life recall. Not expecting to pick up any listeners, she was shocked to see the episode was downloaded several hundred times in the first week of its listing. Realising that others were as interested in the subject as she was and keen to start an awareness in reincarnation from a research and logic viewpoint, Marilyn started researching and producing more episodes. She realised that the best way to hear the cases was from the source and that interviewing people with memories was an important step. She was delighted to be able to share the amazing accounts of notables such as Jeffery Keene, Bob Snow, Bruce Leininger, Paul Amirault, and Erica Auberry.
From these humble beginnings, Reincarnation | PLR has grown from strength to strength and at the time of writing this, in October 2022, has been downloaded over 230 thousand times. The podcast now has followers from all corners of the globe and has created a wonderful, supportive and caring community of followers.
THE TEAM
Marilyn Elliott
Born and raised in Ballarat, a country town near Melbourne in a conservative Methodist family, reincarnation had never been something Marilyn encountered in her early childhood days. Marilyn struggled with faith based religions, and found herself not being able to share her family’s religious convictions. One day, while reading a magazine, she came across an article about the Pollock twins (covered in Episode 5 of the podcast). Finally, she had found a logical hypothesis for what happens after death. She started exploring the subject even further and came across the cases of Stevenson and Tucker.
With a desire to be entrepreneurial, but with no formal training in anything, she tried various jobs until she found herself working as a ward clerk in an oncology ward in a Melbourne hospital. The time she spent on the ward changed her life and she learned some of life’s most valuable lessons as she worked with the patients and shared their battle to survive.
Realising she really loved working in the medical support field, she studied medical terminology and did a small medical secretarial course and ended up working as a medical transcriptionist.
Her desire to be entrepreneurial still remained however and she managed two bed and breakfasts in the Dandenong Ranges for three years, before COVID struck and forced the closure due to the extended lockdowns. At a loose end, with nothing to do to fill her time during lockdown, she went looking for a podcast on reincarnation to listen to and couldn’t find one. On a whim, figuring if she was looking, so would other people, she started her own podcast and so, almost by accident, she found her calling.
Alexios Arktos
Alex has been interested in studying parapsychology since an early age, when one of his first Big Questions in childhood was: “What will happen after death?” and, “What happened to me before I was born?” He was also interested in practical extrasensory perception and scientific confirmation of paranormal phenomena.
After receiving his first higher engineering education, Alex decided to change direction, choosing to study psychology and psychotherapy in-depth. After studying and applying hypnotherapy for five years, he explored the issues of what this method can clarify about the memory of past incarnations and life after death. Left unsatisfied with the findings as a researcher, Alex switched his attention to a scientific approach to the study of reincarnation. He took reincarnation researcher and author Jim Matlock’s course in 2021, after which he began helping as an administrator in his Facebook group.
In addition to his practical activities in the field of studying the nature of consciousness and psychology, Alex has had sound editing experience for twenty years, including working in post-production in a film studio. Since 2022, he has been collaborating with Marilyn Elliot to prepare the Reincarnation | Past Live Revisited podcasts and is currently open to orders for audio editing and editing in similar areas of tasks.
